Obverse description Right-facing bust of Herakles depicted in three-quarter profile, wearing the Nemean lion scalp as a headdress, the paws knotted at the throat. The lion's open jaws frame the hero's forehead, while the mane flows back across the field in deeply carved, naturalistic locks. The portrait is boldly rendered in the high-relief Hellenistic style characteristic of the Corinthian mint, with strong facial features and finely detailed musculature visible at the neck. No legend appears on the obverse; the field is otherwise plain.
