Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on a high-backed throne with ball-footed legs, his torso nude and turned slightly toward the viewer; he extends his right hand forward to present an eagle with spread wings, while his left hand rests upon a tall scepter. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field, and ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ appears along the upper right margin. Below the throne, the mint control letters ΛΑ appear on the seat rail, and the mint mark ΠΛΣ (or similar) is visible in the exergue; a monogram appears to the left of the throne in the field.
