| Obverse description | Head of the deified Herakles facing right, wearing the lionskin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forelegs knotted at the throat, rendered in high relief with expressive Hellenistic modeling. The lionskin's open jaws frame the upper portion of the face, with the ear and flowing locks of hair visible beneath. A dotted border encircles the field. The portrait follows the canonical Alexander-type iconography established at the royal Macedonian mint. |
