Obverse description Bare head of the youthful, beardless Heracles in right profile, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp knotted beneath the chin with the paws visible at the lower neck. The facial features are rendered with fine Hellenistic craftsmanship, displaying a strong aquiline nose, prominent brow, and carefully detailed curling locks of hair emerging from beneath the headdress. The portrait, conventionally identified with Alexander III the Great, fills the flan with commanding presence. No legend or inscription appears on the obverse.

Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his upper body nude and mantle draped across his lower limbs; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre. In the left field above, a club and bow-in-case are depicted as secondary symbols, accompanied by a monogram; a second monogram appears below the throne. The Greek legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the coin as issued in the name of Alexander. The composition follows the standard Alexandrine reverse type established during the king's lifetime and perpetuated by successor mints.
