Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a low stool-throne, his body nude to the waist with drapery across his lap and legs; he extends his right hand forward supporting an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand rests on a long upright sceptre. In the left field appear a club and a bow in its case as secondary symbols, along with a monogram; a second monogram is placed beneath the throne. The reverse legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right field, identifying the issue as struck in the name of Alexander the Great, conforming to the standard posthumous coinage type produced at Erythrai.
