Obverse description Right-facing youthful head of Herakles rendered in fine Hellenistic style, wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress, with the lion's mane framing the face and the paws knotted at the neck. The facial features are finely modeled with a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a strong jawline. A dotted border encircles the design field. The surface retains good relief with naturalistic detailing characteristic of the Corinthian mint's die-cutting tradition.
