Obverse description Head of the deified Herakles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion scalp headdress, the folds of the pelt rendered in high relief with the lion's mane framing the hero's idealized facial features. The portrait exhibits the characteristic Lysippan style adopted for the Alexander-type coinage, with smooth modeling of the cheek and jaw. No legend appears in the field, the entire obverse being devoted to the bold heroic effigy. The flan shows the typical irregular hammered fabric of Hellenistic struck coinage.
