Obverse description Head of the youthful Herakles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion's scalp headdress tied beneath the chin, the paws knotted at the neck. The facial features are rendered in the fine Lysippan tradition characteristic of Alexander-type coinage, with a strong jaw, slightly parted lips, and an alert eye. The surrounding field is plain, with the dotted border of the flan visible at the rim.
