| Obverse description | Youthful beardless head of Heracles facing right, depicted in three-quarter relief, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forelegs knotted at the throat. The modeling of the face is refined and idealized, with crisp facial features characteristic of late 4th-century Macedonian die-cutting. The lion's mane and pelt are rendered with pronounced plastic detail, cascading behind the neck and framing the portrait in the field. |

| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low backless throne, his body nude to the waist and draped from the hips; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with closed wings, while his left hand grasps a tall sceptre. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs in the right field and along the lower reverse. In the left field, a horse-head facing left serves as a mint control symbol, and the monogram or letters ΔΕ appear below the throne as an additional control mark, both characteristic of the Corinthian mint issues of this posthumous series. |
