| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a high-backed throne, his upper body nude, lower body draped, holding a long sceptre in his left hand and an eagle standing with spread wings on his outstretched right hand. The throne is rendered in detail with decorated legs. To the left field, the Aspendian civic monogram (ΑΣ) appears in two lines. The primary legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. The type closely follows the standard posthumous Alexandrine reverse design as adapted by the mint of Aspendus. |
