Obverse description Facing right, the youthful beardless head of Heracles is rendered in fine high relief, adorned with the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, its paws knotted at the neck. The mane and ear of the lion skin are rendered with meticulous detail, cascading behind the figure's head. The portrait displays idealized Hellenistic facial features — a straight nose, slightly parted lips, and a strong jaw — consistent with the portrait type associated with Alexander III. The coin is struck within a plain circular border with a beaded inner rim visible in parts.
