Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless and wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, with the animal's scalp drawn over the crown and the forepaws knotted at the neck. The portrait is rendered in fine high relief with strongly modelled facial features characteristic of the post-Alexander Macedonian die-cutting tradition. A dotted border runs along the coin's periphery. The field is plain, with no legend, as is standard for this type.
