| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, clad in the Nemean lion skin headdress with the scalp drawn over the crown and the forelegs knotted at the throat. The modelling of the facial features is fine and naturalistic, with curling locks of hair visible beneath the pelt. The flan is irregular and slightly rough at the margins, consistent with hand-struck Hellenistic production. No legend or inscription appears in the field. |
