| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the gaping jaws of the pelt framing the hero's face and the folded skin draped over the neck and shoulder. The facial features are rendered in the Lysippan tradition associated with posthumous Alexandrine coinage, with softly modelled cheekbones, a slightly parted mouth, and curling hair visible beneath the lion headdress. The field is plain, with no legend. |
