| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his nude torso facing the viewer while his lower body is draped; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with closed wings, and his left hand firmly grasps a long upright sceptre. In the left field, a forepart of a lion to left serves as a control symbol. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to the left of the throne identifies the royal issuer. The composition follows the canonical reverse type established under Alexander III and continued by his Diadoch successors. |
