| Obverse description | Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion with the jaws over the crown, the pelt's mane cascading behind and the knotted forepaws tied at the neck. The portrait is rendered in the vigorous Hellenistic style characteristic of posthumous Alexandrine coinage, with finely modelled curling hair visible beneath the lion-skin headdress. The field is plain, with no legend or inscription. |
