Obverse description Youthful head of Heracles facing right, depicted beardless, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, the gaping jaws of which form a headdress atop the hero's curling hair. The modelling of the face is finely executed in the Hellenistic tradition, with strong, idealized features and high relief. The lion's mane and forelegs drape naturalistically around the neck and shoulders. The field is plain, with no legend.

Reverse description Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a low stool-throne, his body draped from the waist down; his outstretched right hand supports an eagle with wings closed, while his left hand grasps a long upright sceptre. The legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically along the right field. In the left field appears the letter B, serving as a regnal or civic dating symbol indicating the second year of the local era. The composition follows the canonical Alexander-type reverse established at the royal mint.
