| Obverse description | Right-facing head of the hero Herakles in three-quarter relief, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the lion's mane rendered in finely detailed wavy locks cascading behind the neck. The facial features are rendered in a youthful, idealised Hellenistic style, with a strong jawline and prominent brow. The coin is bordered by a beaded dotted rim. No legend appears on the obverse. |
