| Obverse description | Facing right, the youthful head of Heracles depicted without beard, clad in the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the jaws framing the face and the paws knotted at the neck. The rendering follows the Lysippan tradition established under Alexander III, with finely detailed hair rendered in flowing locks beneath the lion skin. The portrait occupies the full field of the flan with no surrounding legend. |
