| Obverse description | Youthful, beardless head of Heracles in right-facing profile, wearing the scalp of the Nemean lion as a headdress, the leonine jaws framing the brow and the pelt draping behind. The portrait is rendered with fine Hellenistic artistry, exhibiting naturalistically modelled facial features, a strong jaw, and flowing curls emerging beneath the lion-skin. The flan fills the die generously, and the relief is bold and well-centred, consistent with the posthumous Alexandrine coinage tradition. |
