Reverse description Quadripartite incuse square divided by a raised cross into four recessed rectangular compartments of equal size, a hallmark of early fifth-century Greek coinage technique. The incuse is deeply struck and well-centered, with sharp angular borders. No legend or additional devices appear within the incuse field. This reverse type is characteristic of the early coinage of Abdera and reflects the influence of contemporary Thraco-Macedonian and Ionian minting traditions.
