| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of King Heliokles I facing right, rendered in high relief in the Hellenistic portrait tradition. The royal diadem is rendered with characteristic ribbon ties falling behind the neck, and the king's curly hair is depicted with fine engraving detail. The drapery of the chlamys is visible at the truncation of the bust, with folded fabric rendered naturalistically. The portrait displays strong, idealized facial features typical of Baktrian royal coinage. The field is enclosed by a beaded fillet border running along the coin's periphery. |
