Obverse description Laureate head of Apollo facing left, rendered in fine Classical Greek style with delicately engraved features. The god's hair is bound by a laurel wreath with carefully detailed leaves, falling in wavy locks behind the neck. The facial profile is youthful and idealized, with a straight nose, gently parted lips, and a subtly modeled chin characteristic of late Classical Ionian die-engraving. The smooth, slightly concave field surrounds the portrait, which fills the flan with monumental presence.
