Reverse description Asklepios, nude to the hips, standing in three-quarter view facing right, his weight resting upon a tall knotted staff entwined with a serpent. The deity's muscular torso and serene pose reflect refined Hellenistic workmanship. The ethnic legend ΚΩΙΩΝ descends vertically to the right of the figure, while the magistrate's name ΕΥΡΥΛΟΧΟΣ descends vertically to the left, identifying this issue as struck under the authority of the eponymous magistrate Eurylokhos on the island of Kos.
