Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of the usurper Domitianus facing right, depicted in the manner of a Roman emperor. The portrait is rendered in the provincial Alexandrian style, with a laurel wreath crowning the head. The legend ΔOMITI-ANOΣ ΣEB arcs around the bust in Greek characters, identifying the usurper with the imperial title Sebastos (Augustus). The field is plain, and the portrait exhibits the compact, somewhat stylized engraving characteristic of late third-century Alexandrian tetradrachms.
