| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left upon a stool-throne, his body draped from the waist, holding an eagle perched on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre upright in his left. In the left field, the ethnic inscription ΔΙΟΦΑΝΗΣ is placed above a Rhodian rose symbol, with the abbreviated ethnic ΡΟ positioned below the throne. The primary legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs in the right field. The composition follows the canonical Alexander-type reverse design as adapted by the Rhodian mint under the magistrate Diophanes. |
