Obverse description Laureate and cuirassed bust of Diocletian facing right, with short beard, displayed in the late Roman provincial style characteristic of Alexandrian tetradrachms. The emperor's effigy is rendered in bold relief with visible drapery and armor detailing at the shoulder. A Greek legend encircles the bust identifying the emperor by his full imperial titulature.
