| Obverse description | Laureate and cuirassed bust of Diocletian facing right, depicted with military dress typical of late Roman imperial portraiture. The Greek legend encircles the effigy around the periphery of the flan. The portrait is rendered in the robust, austere style characteristic of the Tetrarchic period, with visible paludamentum at the shoulder. |
