| Obverse description | Diademed head of Demetrius Poliorcetes facing right, wearing a distinctive bull-horned diadem, his hair rendered in flowing, tightly curled locks swept back from the forehead in an energetic Hellenistic style. The portrait is executed in high relief with exceptional artistry, conveying both divine pretension and regal authority. The face displays strong, idealized features with a prominent brow, aquiline nose, and slightly parted lips. No legend appears on the obverse; the entire field is dominated by the commanding royal portrait. |
