Reverse description Poseidon Pelagaios standing nude to left in the field, his right foot propped upon a rock or promontory, the raised knee supporting his bent right arm in a pose of divine authority. The god's left hand firmly grasps an upright trident, his primary attribute as lord of the seas. Two control monograms are present in the field: one to the lower left and one to the lower inner right. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ ('of King Demetrius') is disposed in two lines flanking the figure, proclaiming the royal title of the issuer.
