| Obverse description | Diademed and horned head of Demetrius I Poliorcetes facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with carefully detailed curling hair and a prominent diadem; a small bull's horn rises from the forehead, referencing the king's divine pretensions. The portrait is executed with strong naturalistic modeling, characteristic of the best die-cutters of the early third century BC. A dotted border encircles the field. |

| Reverse description | Poseidon Pelagaios, nude and heroically proportioned, stands facing left with his right foot propped upon a rock or promontory, his weight shifted forward in a dynamic contrapposto pose. He holds a long trident in his raised left hand while his right arm rests upon his bent knee. A monogram appears in the inner left field, and an HP monogram enclosed within a wreath is placed between his legs. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ runs along the upper and right periphery of the reverse field. |
