| Obverse description | Diademed head of Demetrios I Poliorketes facing right, adorned with a bull's horn emerging from the diadem — an iconographic attribute associating the king with Poseidon. The hair is rendered in flowing, voluminous locks characteristic of Hellenistic portraiture, with fine detail in the curls framing the face. The portrait is struck within a beaded border and displays strong, idealized facial features typical of the court style of the early 3rd century BC. The diadem is tied at the back with ribbons visible above the neck, and the overall composition reflects the divine pretensions of the Antigonid ruler. |

| Reverse description | Poseidon Pelagaios depicted as a nude, standing figure facing left, his right foot propped upon a rock in a pose of heroic ease. He holds a long trident in his left hand while his right arm rests upon his raised knee. The figure is rendered in the Classical tradition with strong, idealized musculature. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΔΗΜΗΤΡΙΟΥ flanks the deity, with monograms placed in the outer left and right fields serving as mint or magistrate control marks. |
