Reverse description A triumphal processional scene depicting the deified Augustus (Divus Augustus) rendered as a standing togate figure upon a ceremonial four-wheeled wagon (quadriga elephantorum), drawn leftward by four elephants, each accompanied by its mahout-rider seated upon the animal's neck. The figure of Augustus holds a patera in his right hand and a long sceptre in his left, presented in a posture of divine authority. Seven stars are scattered across the field, emphasizing the celestial and divine status of the deified emperor. The composition is executed in the Hellenistic provincial tradition, with no reverse legend.
