| Obverse description | Youthful bare head of Heracles facing right, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, with the scalp knotted beneath the chin and the forepaws draped across the shoulder; the facial features rendered in fine Hellenistic style with curling hair visible beneath the pelt. The lion's mane flows naturalistically around the left field, and the open jaws of the lion scalp frame the hero's crown. No legend appears on the obverse, the type following the canonical Alexander III coinage prototype. |
