| Reverse description | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left on a stool-throne, his body draped from the waist, holding an eagle on his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in his left. To the upper left, the legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs vertically, identifying the issue as being struck in the name of Alexander III. In the lower left field, the magistrate's name ΒΙΩΝ appears, accompanied by the civic badge of Klazomenai — a forepart of a winged boar facing left — serving as the mint control symbol. The composition follows the canonical posthumous Alexandrine reverse type, with the throne rendered with characteristic simplicity and the field otherwise plain. |
