Obverse description Bust of Artabanus III facing left, depicted with a long pointed beard rendered in fine parallel strokes and wavy hair falling to the shoulder. The king wears an elaborate tiara adorned with a crescent and decorative arches at the top, characteristic of late Parthian royal iconography. He is draped in a torque-collar necklace and embroidered royal garment visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in a bold, high-relief Parthian style within a beaded border, conveying regal authority with strong facial features and a prominent eye shown frontally.
