| Obverse description | Bearded head of Herakles facing right, clad in the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp rendered with finely engraved mane and forelegs knotted at the throat. The portrait displays the characteristic Lysimachean-style treatment with strongly modelled facial features, a prominent brow, and deeply set eye. The field is smooth and unlettered, with the design occupying the full flan in high relief typical of Hellenistic island coinage. |
