| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Antiochos VII facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with naturalistic portraiture. The king's hair is elaborately coiffed in thick, flowing curls framing the face, with a royal diadem tied at the back. The drapery of a chlamys or similar garment is visible at the truncation of the bust. The portrait is executed in high relief with sharp, well-defined facial features including a strong profile, prominent nose, and subtly parted lips. The field is smooth and the coin is bordered by a dotted bead-and-reel pattern along the rim. |

| Reverse description | Eagle standing left atop the prow of a galley, wings closed, with a palm frond rising over the far shoulder — emblematic of the Tyrian mint. To the left of the eagle, a monogram appears above a club surmounted by the distinctive Tyre city monogram. To the right, the ΣΥ monogram appears above the Seleucid era date ZOP (year 177, corresponding to 136/135 BC). A further monogram is placed between the eagle's legs. The surrounding Greek legend identifies the ruler and his royal title. |
