| Obverse description | Diademed and ivy-wreathed head of Antiochos VI Dionysos facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic portraiture style with elaborately engraved curling locks framing the face and falling behind the neck. The diadem ribbons are visible above the ear, and the wreath with berries or ivy leaves sits prominently atop the crown of the head. The youthful effigy displays idealized facial features characteristic of late Seleucid royal portraiture, with a smooth cheek and slightly parted lips. A dotted border encircles the coin field. |
