Obverse description Diademed head of Antiochos IV Epiphanes facing right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with curly hair secured by a royal diadem, the flowing ends visible behind the neck. The portrait is executed in high relief with strong, idealized facial features characteristic of Seleucid royal portraiture. A six-pointed star appears above the head in the upper field. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted border.

Reverse description Apollo, nude, seated to the left upon the sacred omphalos, holding an arrow in his extended right hand and resting his left hand upon a grounded bow. A palm frond appears in the outer left field, while a monogram (AB) is placed in the inner left field. The Greek royal legend flanks the figure, and an additional control monogram appears in the exergue. The design is framed within a dotted border.
