Obverse description At the center of a large Macedonian shield, a three-quarter facing horned head of Pan inclined to the left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style; the god wears a goat-skin draped around his neck and shoulders, and a lagobolon (hare-hunter's crook) is visible behind. The shield's broad rim is decorated with an ornate pattern of alternating stars and crescents, a characteristic emblem of Antigonid royal iconography.
