| Obverse description | Central device comprises a three-quarter facing horned head of Pan, wearing a goat-skin cap and with a lagobolon (hare-staff) positioned behind, set within the boss of a large Macedonian shield. The broad shield rim is elaborately decorated with an alternating pattern of stars and crescents in relief, rendered in the distinctive Macedonian royal artistic tradition. The composition presents Pan as a quasi-divine emblem of Macedonian military and royal power, with his characteristic attributes rendered in fine Hellenistic style. |

| Reverse description | Athena Alkidemos depicted striding vigorously to right in martial posture, her right hand raised and brandishing a thunderbolt, her left arm bearing a large round shield decorated with an aegis. The goddess is rendered in dynamic Hellenistic style with flowing drapery. A kalathos (basket) appears in the inner left field, with a control monogram in the inner right field. The inscription ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΝΤΙΓΟΝΟΥ is disposed in two lines flanking the central figure, identifying the coin as an issue of King Antigonus. |
