Reverse description Deep quadripartite incuse square divided by raised bars into four recessed compartments of roughly equal size, each with a granular surface resulting from the hammered technique. The incuse square is characteristic of early Greek coinage from Abdera and served as the anvil die impression. No additional devices or legends appear within the incuse field.
