Obverse description Draped bust of Artemis facing right, hair elaborately coiffed and bound, wearing a stephane or diadem, with loose curling locks falling to the neck. The goddess bears her characteristic attributes, with a quiver strap visible across the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in a fine Hellenistic style with naturalistic facial features. The field is plain, and the design is enclosed within a beaded border.

Reverse description An eagle standing facing left with wings spread, clutching a caduceus or club in its talons, with a small figure — likely a statuette of a deity — visible to the right of the eagle. The central design is framed by a laurel wreath encircling the entire field. The Greek legend ΑΒΥΔΗΝΩΝ is inscribed in two lines across the upper field to the left and right of the eagle, while ΑΝΔΡΟΣΘΕΝΟΥ appears in two lines along the lower exergue, identifying the issuing city of Abydos and the magistrate Androsthenes.
