Reverse description Zeus Aetophoros enthroned left on a backless throne, his nude torso shown in three-quarter view. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle with wings closed, while his left hand grasps a long sceptre. The legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ runs along the right and lower fields. In the left field, the letter I appears as a control mark, and beneath the throne a monogram serves as a secondary control symbol, both attributing the issue to the mint of Arados.
