| Reverse description | Zeus Nikephoros seated on a throne facing left, holding a Nike (Victory figure) in his outstretched right hand and a long sceptre in his left. The god is depicted in the canonical Seleucid reverse type derived from Macedonian coinage, with drapery over his lower body and legs. Control marks consisting of monograms appear to the left of the throne and beneath it, varying by issue. The royal legend is inscribed in two lines flanking the throne, with ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ to the right and ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ to the left. |
