| Obverse description | Bare-headed warrior, clad in cuirass, depicted in dynamic profile galloping to right on horseback. The rider's right arm is raised and extended, hurling a spear in a vigorous martial pose. A large pellet appears in the field behind the horse. The composition is rendered in the archaic Greek style characteristic of northern Aegean mint coinage of the late sixth to early fifth century BC. |
