| Obverse description | Janiform double head occupying the full field: the facing male head at left is laureate with ivy leaves, rendered with curling locks and a broad, expressive face, while the facing female head at right displays a more delicate physiognomy with earring visible. The two heads share a common neck, a hallmark of Tenedian civic iconography evoking the legendary double-headed nature of the island's coinage tradition. No legend appears on the obverse; the composition is bold and high-relief, characteristic of late Hellenistic die-cutting. |
