| Reverse description | Horseman or horse galloping to the right in a vigorous, abstracted Celtic style, with the legs rendered as elongated curvilinear forms. Below the horse, the ethnic inscription ΔΑΜΑΣΤΙΝΩΝ appears partially in the field, identifying the issuing community of Damastion. The reverse design ultimately derives from Macedonian tetradrachm prototypes, reinterpreted through the local artistic tradition. A beaded border frames the composition along the coin's edge. |
