Obverse description Facing head of Helios, the sun god, rendered in fine high relief with slightly right-facing gaze, framed by flowing wavy hair radiating outward in all directions in the characteristic Rhodian artistic style. The facial features are rendered with exceptional naturalism, displaying large almond-shaped eyes, a straight nose, and slightly parted lips. The hair, depicted as undulating locks spreading symmetrically across the field, evokes the sun's radiant beams. The portrait occupies nearly the entire flan, leaving little open field. No legend is present on the obverse.
